Please explore my About page to see if you think we could be a good fit to work together. If you are interested in working together, there are multiple ways to reach out to me. You can call me at 334-679-6213, email me at pam@drpamholtz.com, or complete the welcome form on my Contact Me page. You are welcome to reach out in whatever way is most convenient for you, and I will get back to you as soon as I am able to provide a complimentary 15-minute consultation call.
free initial consultation call
I provide a complimentary 15-minute phone call before our first appointment. During our free initial consultation call, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of our work together. This allows us to address any questions you may have and to get to know each other a bit before scheduling to determine if we are a good match to work together. If we determine we are not the right match, I will offer some recommendations for other resources to help you get what you need. Committing to therapy is an investment and I want to help make sure you are getting the best return possible on that investment, whether that is working with me or someone else. If we determine that we are a good match to work together, we will schedule our first visit. To prepare for our first visit, I will provide you with a welcome packet via secure portal, which will include some forms to complete prior to our first session. I will review the paperwork before we meet to get a better understanding of how I can help. This will allow us to make the most of our time together during our first session.
initial consultation visit
During our first session, we will discuss background information relevant to our work together. We will collaboratively clarify your goals for treatment and formulate a treatment plan to meet your needs.
committing to therapy
Therapy sessions are confidential and conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. Therapy sessions last approximately 50 minutes. We will also determine how frequently you would like to meet. Typically, clients meet weekly in the beginning of treatment. We may decide to reduce the frequency of our sessions over time. The length of treatment may vary based on your individual needs and can be revisited throughout our work together. Some concerns may be resolved with a brief course of therapy (i.e., 8-12 sessions or less), while other concerns may take longer to address (ranging from several months to several years), depending on the depth of issues you want to address. Please bring whatever concerns or needs you have to our session and we can structure our meetings accordingly. I invite ongoing feedback so we can ensure you are getting what you need out of our work together. If your needs are not being met, we will discuss other available options.
concluding our work together
Once your goals are met, we will conclude our work together. I invite my clients to return to care as needed. One of the benefits of tele-health is the ability to return to an established therapeutic relationship as needed throughout your life, wherever life may take you.
