LGBTQ+ Affirming Care
I am an LGBTQ+ ally, and I am firm in my support of the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and affirming (actually celebratory!!) space for individuals navigating their sexual and/or gender identities.
It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your journey. I adopt an affirming, empathetic, and non-judgmentally curious approach to support you in navigating the world as authentically as possible.
Transgender services
Many insurance companies require letters of support from mental health professionals to access gender-affirming medical care. I am committed to eliminating barriers to care to support unobstructed access to high quality, evidence-based care to folks who are transgender, gender-diverse, and non-binary.
I offer letters of support for folks seeking gender-affirming care, following the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care to ensure these letters meet the requirements of healthcare providers and insurance companies. Because I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your gender identity, I do not require a certain number of sessions before providing you with a letter of support for gender-affirming services. I will work collaboratively with you to provide affirming and timely letters that reflect your unique experiences and goals. My goal is to support you in accessing gender-affirming care while navigating systematic barriers to care with compassion and expertise. Letter writing is complimentary. I do not charge an extra fee to write a letter of support for gender-affirming care.
Parents
As a parent, it can be challenging when your child is experiencing something with which you are unfamiliar, such as navigating their sexual and/or gender identity. Therapy can be a wonderful option if you are seeking support in your journey to support, understand, and relate to your loved one in a healthy and affirming manner.

“Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me.”
