Rates for Therapy
I understand therapy is an investment and I aim to be as transparent as possible about my fees.
Free phone consultation, 15 minutes
$200 individual session, 50 minutes
This fee reflects my rate for private pay sessions. If I accept your insurance, rates may be different.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please cancel and reschedule 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged the full session fee. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and our session time is held exclusively for you.
Sliding Scale
I do not use a formal “sliding scale” formula or tool to determine session fees; however, I offer a limited number of reduced fee appointments each week for individuals with a demonstrated need. Please contact me to see if you may be eligible for a discounted fee.
Insurance
I accept Aetna, BlueCross and BlueShield, Carelon, and Quest insurance plans through Headway. Please see my Headway provider page for additional information.
I do not work directly with other insurances or Medicare/Medicaid at this time; however, please stay tuned as I am actively working on expanding my practice to work with Tricare beneficiaries.
Many insurance plans offer at least partial reimbursement for out-of-network services, and I am happy to provide you with a receipt or “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance carrier. Given how varied policies are, I recommend that you check with your insurance company to determine the extent of your out-of-network mental health benefits.
If you plan to claim out-of-network benefits with your insurance, please reach out to your insurance provider prior to scheduling a consultation with me. For additional information about securing this information from your insurance provider, including questions I encourage you to ask, click here.
Payment Methods
I accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and credit/debit cards as forms of payment.
Notice of Good Faith
Under law, health care providers (including psychologists) are required to inform clients who do not have health insurance or who are paying for therapy out-of-pocket that they may request a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges for services at any point. You are encouraged and entitled to request an estimate before scheduling your first appointment. For more information or to dispute a charge that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, please visit the No Surprises Act website.
